The Innovation Mindset Assessment: How it Works

Rather than measuring technical creativity by itself, the innovation mindset assessment examines the various factors - both social and psychological - that influence whether an organisation is capable of harbouring innovation or if there would be some kind of institutional resistance.

The innovation mindset assessment is administered by way of surveys, questionnaires, or scenario-based exercises designed to mimic real-world situations. These scenarios ask participants to respond to statements or incidents involving innovation or decision-making. The responses are analysed to reveal patterns in behaviours and mindset.

Areas typically measured by an innovation mindset assessment include:

• Openness to change from individual and organisational perspectives

• Risk tolerance and a general attitude toward failure

• Collaboration and idea-sharing between individuals and teams

• Flexibility when it comes to changing direction

After being collected, findings are summarised in reports and through feedback sessions.
