Using the Psychometric/Aptitude Test to Guide Personal Development

If a person is using the psychometric/aptitude test to guide personal development it's important they keep in mind the context when interpreting test results. The C-me platform for instance provides comprehensive assessments of strengths and weaknesses and can help an individual discover things about themselves they had previously overlooked.

Such insights can be critical in helping a person become a more effective employee or helping them make a career transition. The results of a psychometric/aptitude test can promote serious self-reflection that is useful in helping the individual navigate difficult periods in their life or spur them to make a necessary transition.

About C-me

The process of conducting formal assessments of potential new hires or current staff members is nothing new. It's been going on for decades and has become an integral part of the hiring process in the UK. But until recently this was a flawed process that relied on personality-based assessment tools that painted a vague and limited picture of the individual.

The people who founded C-me came through the crucible of that process, spending years assessing individuals and teams using the tools of the day and finally concluding there had to be a better way. Since none emerged they realised they'd have to create the better way themselves, and the result was C-me.

C-me is a behaviour-based assessment tool that provides a much clearer image of a person, their behavioural tendencies and their motivations. C-me has proven so successful it has been adopted by numerous business and organisational titans in the UK including USBC, Oracle, Virgin Active, the BBC and the NHS.

What our clients say about us

quote-ico

C-me has been a really useful tool; using them to not only develop our own self-awareness, but also learn how to communicate better as a team has been really invaluable.

Gill White Service Manager, NHS Bristol

The impact C-me profiles have on teams and the organisation as a whole has been fascinating and refreshing. Individuals have shown more empathy, inclusivity and understanding of their colleagues, creating a happier and more productive culture. I would feel confident in recommending C-me as it creates a shared language for discussing behaviour and difference.

Leigh-Anne Colman Global Learning and Development Lead, Oracle Data Cloud

WDC, Whale and Dolphin Conservation began using C-me as a tool for improving communication across our international senior leadership team. It helped us appreciate each other’s communication preferences better, and understand and avoid previous areas of misunderstanding. We have now started to roll C-me out across the UK organisation, putting it into our Onboarding process to help teams communication effectively and appreciate each other’s contribution.

Sian Davies-Hamilton, Director of Human Resources, WDC

While difficult to quantify in %'s, I notice a greater awareness of why conflict can happen and what team members might need to work effectively once employees understand the colour preferences. Participants on the course state that they are more measured in their responses and have a greater understanding of peoples behaviour.
